Mayi Dixon is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. Mayi has worked in the mental health field for over 10 years, in various venues such as residential treatment facilities for children and adolescents, shelters for children, domestic violence shelters, and a local county jail. Mayi specializes in Marriage and Family Therapy and Play Therapy, with an emphasis on trauma and attachment.
Currently, Mayi host her own relationship show on Blog Talk Radio entitled the “Heart and Soul of Relationships” Mayi is also a practicing therapist in private practice. Mayi works as an Adjunct Professor at Mercer University and is a doctoral student at Mercer University studying Counselor Education and Supervision. Mayi obtained her Masters degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University.
In the past Mayi has co-presented at the "Marriage America Conference" on childhood sexual abuse, attachment, and marriage, at the "University of South Carolina" on vicarious trauma and graduate students, and at the "Better Marriages Conference" in Raleigh, NC. on Cyber Infidelity.
