Dr. Dixon is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. Dr. Dixon has worked in the mental health field for over 10 years, in various venues such as residential treatment facilities for children and adolescents, shelters for children, domestic violence shelters, and the local county jail. Dr. Dixon specializes in Marriage and Family Therapy and Play Therapy.
Dr. Dixon also specializes in working with adults recovering from infidelity, attachment, adult parent child relationships, and healing from sexual trauma with an emphasis on attachment.
Currently, Dr. Dixon host her own relationship podcast on Anchor entitled the “The Premaritalbliss Podcast" anchor.fm/premaritalbliss Dr. Dixon is as an Adjunct Professor at Grand Canyon University. Dr. Dixon earned her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Mercer University and her Masters degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University.
In the past Dr. has co-presented at the "Marriage America Conference" on childhood sexual abuse, attachment, and marriage, at the "University of South Carolina" on vicarious trauma and graduate students, and at the "Better Marriages Conference" in Raleigh, NC on Cyber Infidelity.
